Mark Edwards is always keen for the Club to progress and to push for World Domination within the Photographic Club Scene.   This year with only a six week deadline we decided to enter the FIAP World Club Competition where clubs from around the world enter their best 20 images with no more than 4 images from any single photographer.

Last year there were 147 of the best clubs in the world who entered and the standard is very very high as you would expect for such a prestigious competition.

Our images were submitted and we all waited with baited breathe for the results of our first attempt to be announced.

The results were released and we were all pleased that we had come 31st out of the 160 Clubs that entered.   It meant we achieved a placing in the top 20% of the Clubs in the World.   We have already started preparing for next year and we hope that the challenge to actually go out and win the title will improve the photographic skills of all of the members.

We are hoping that this will result in the members having to work together to create images rather than just take them and really focus of award winning photography.

It was also great to see the presence of so many British Clubs in the top 10 and the Winner was Wigan10 and having reviewed their images a well deserving winner.

A selection of the images entered are shown within this article and the full selection can be found using the link below.
