Touching The Light – A Lecture by Ken Scott ARPS

Ken Scott ARPS is a mountaineer and photographer from Sussex with a growing reputation in both outdoor and photographic circles. He has walked and climbed extensively in Britain, Europe and North America, and in 2011 completed a 500 mile unsupported trek through the Pyrenees from Atlantic to Mediterranean.

The driving force behind his photography is a passion for the mountains and the ever-changing quality of mountain light, to which he responds in the moment to produce striking and soulful images. Place is unimportant in Ken’s work; it is rather the atmosphere and the intensity of the mountain experience itself that is subject.

Although best known for his mountain landscape photography, Ken’s repertoire now includes a diversity of styles that have developed from the discipline of daily practice. At the end of 2011 Ken has completed 1461 consecutive days (four years) of his “365 Project”, making a picture every day.
